The Spring of Discontent
We're a Church on the Move
We have started the next stage of our building project called SPRING (St Peter's Reworked: Inspiring New Growth). It's an exciting time in the life of St Peter's, but filled with change. All our activities which happen in our Octagon will continue "business as usual". While the building work takes place some of our services will be with our friends at Marlborough Road Methodist Church, which is in Marlborough Road St Albans. Our Sunday 8am Communion service and our Midweek Communion on Tuesdays at 11am take place in the Octagon. You can read more about the project here.

About Us
Our church has long been a place of hospitality as one the city’s ancient gateway churches and people have worshipped here for over a thousand years.
Today we continue to offer a welcome to many from across the city and surrounding area, whether drawn by the quality of our music and choral tradition, our provision for children and young families, our offering of diverse opportunities for worship, prayer and learning, the strong sense of community we seek to foster - or for many other reasons. Our vision is “everyone is included, loving and generous service is celebrated, faith is nurtured and developed, and everyone is inspired to reach their God-given potential”. If you would like to join us for any of our services or midweek activities, we hope you will feel at home, make new friends, and most important of all, be enabled to grow in friendship with God.
We are part of the Church of England, in the Diocese of St Albans, and we have a special relationship with Marlborough Road Methodist Church, with whom we celebrate key services during the year.
