The context for this preaching series is Tanya Marlow's book, Those who wait.  Tanya writes from the perspective of living with a chronic illness, ME, Tanya has had to deal with waiting and longing over many years.  This book picks up these themes informed by Tanya's experience and reflections, and overlaid with the inspiration and hope that scripture and the presence of God bring.

The aim of this preaching series is to bring hope to those who are waiting and longing in the context of unwelcome change or challenge, and to inspire all God's people in the season of Advent to have hearts prepared to celebrate the birth of Jesus - the fulfilment of the world's deepest longings.
