Lunchtime concerts at St Peter's
We are delighted to announce that our Wednesday lunchtime concerts will be restarting from 2nd June 2021.
Concerts start at 1pm and run for just under an hour.
Our concerts have finished for the Summer term and we will shortly be publicising our performers for the Autumn term. Concerts restart on Wednesday 8th September.
Due to current Covid 19 restrictions we need to run the concerts slightly differently at the moment and we have restrictions on the numbers of people we can seat. Therefore we are asking people to sign up to attend the concerts. Please click here or scroll to the bottom of this page to book your place.
Below is the schedule for the summer term;
2nd June - Eric McElroy (pianist)
9th June - Mark Shepherd (organist)
16th June - Arwen Newband (violin) & Anna Le Hair (pianist)
23rd June - Ivan Rodriguez Deb (cellist & pianist)
30th June - Isabel Beyer & Guy Dagel (piano duo)
7th July - The Icknield Ensemble - violin, viola and piano
14th July - Mitra Alice Tham (pianist)
A risk assessment has been conducted prior to restarting concerts.
Below are some FAQ's;
What restrictions are in place?
Social distancing will be in place and stewards will greet you at the door and show you to a marked out space in church which will ensure you are distanced from others not in your household.
It takes a bit longer to get people seated, so please show up early if you can and by 12.45pm.
Hand sanitiser is available at both main entrances to church, and you must wear a mask throughout the concert unless medically exempt.
How are we compliant with NHS Test and Trace?
We will record the names of people attending our lunchtime concerts. In line with guidance issued by the Department for Health and Social Care, we will keep your details safely and in compliance with GDPR legislation for 21 days before deleting them. We will only share your details with NHS Test and Trace, in the event that it is needed to help stop the spread of coronavirus. We will not use your details for any other purposes or pass them on to anyone else.
Are services streamed online?
Most of our services are streamed online. Please note that if you attend in person, there is a chance you may appear in the livestream, although we never focus in on members of the congregation.
How can I donate?
Donations for lunchtime concerts are given to Rennie Grove Hospice Care once expenses have been deducted. There will be donation plates at the south and west doors and gift aid envelopes available as you leave the concert.
Are there toilet facilities?
The accessible toilet is available to use and can be accessed from the outside of the church via the door by the tower. Stewards will be able to help direct you.
