A prayer from St Peter’s on Sea Sunday by Kat Butler:
Dear Lord, we pray for all those who are away from their friends, family or home at this time. Particularly on Sea Sunday, for those who are at sea.
We thank you Lord for their sacrifice, that improves our lives. We pray that they stay out of danger.
Whether they are bringing us the food and goods that we need, or they are protecting our country and our lives, or they are helping out other people around the world, we pray for their protection and safe return.
We also pray, particularly this year when extra restrictions are causing difficulty in getting home, for those on land, missing their loved ones who are away.
