Rosemary and Ruth's Ramble

Sunday 24th October 1.30pm

Over the past 18 months many of us have found ourselves going for a walk. With this renewed interest in the great outdoors and our local surroundings we've planned a Church Ramble!

We're going to walk 6.5 miles from St Peters Church and journey across to Batchwood Golf course, to Childwickbury and back through Hawkswick Lodge fruit farm and finishing at St Peters Church. Its not a difficult walk but it is across fields, woods, gravel paths and a little bit of road.

Refreshments - We will plan to stop at the church in Childwickbury for a short stop (unless its raining) so do bring any refreshments you want for yours.

Meet in St Peter's church car park at 1.30pm.  We will return to St Peter's by 4pm.

If you are planning on joining us please let the church office know 01727 855485 or email mail@stpeterschurch.uk.com

FAQ's

Why walk together?

We are not walking a race but the aim is to enjoy the wonderful place we live in, move away from the city and importantly talk to each other and get to know new people who are part of St Peters Church Community.

Family or pets?

All welcome but everyone takes responsibility for whoever they bring, whether children or pets. Dogs must be kept on leads.

Signing up?

We would love everyone to join us who wants to ramble - to help us manage we would be grateful if anyone planning to come would sign up by emailing the church office at mail.stpeterschurch.uk.com

Refreshments?

We will plan to stop at the church in Childwickbury for a short stop (unless its raining) so do bring any refreshments you want for yourself

First Aid?

We will ensure that we have first aid assistance (although we hope that there is no need)

Clothing?

Come prepared for weather and walking (It's not Everest so no crampons required)

Weather?

We will plan to do the walk whatever the weather. We will only cancel if the weather is severe.
