Longest night services are typically held just before Christmas, when the nights are at their longest. They are a more contemplative way to mark the Christmas season, which recognise that for many of us, this year perhaps more than ever, the festive season can be a difficult time.

This was a quieter service at St Peter's held on 13th December, with carols sung by a soloist, Christmas readings and a reflection by Margaret Tinsley. People came and sat in the candlelight, and spent some time in quietness and prayer.
