Friends of St Peter's Autumn Lecture

The Friends of St Peter's would like to invite you to our autumn event, an illustrated talk by Ruth Dearnley OBE, CEO of STOP THE TRAFFIK. The talk will take place in the Octagon on Thursday 13th October at 8pm, preceded by drinks and nibbles from 7.30pm.

STOP THE TRAFFIK (http://www.stopthetraffik.org/uk/) is a growing global movement whose purpose is to end the buying and selling of people. Ruth Dearnley has been the Chief Executive Officer of the organisation since May 2008 and was a founding member since its inception in 2005. Ruth's leadership of the campaign is about building original global initiatives to engage and empower local communities to prevent the trade, protect the victims and prosecute the traffickers. With a law degree and a background in education, Ruth has spent the last 20 years communicating creatively and inspiring and facilitating others to transform the world around them, starting in their local community.

Everyone is very welcome to attend but places are subject to availability. If you would like to come along, please contact publicity@stpeterschurch.uk.com as soon as possible. This will greatly assist us with numbers for organising the event. Gift Aided donations are requested at the door on the night (indicative amount is £10 per head for members and £15 per head for non-members).
