Children & Youth
Children are full members of the church and form an integral part of life at St Peter’s. We recognise the need to pass on the faith to children and young people and nurture them within this. Families are welcome to all our services; however, the Sunday morning 9.30am Holy Communion service is particularly family friendly with Junior Church and a children's corner.
There are a wide range of activities on offer for children of all ages. For the younger children we have various baby and toddler groups throughout the week and once a month we hold our very popular Messy Church, all of which are great fun for parents too. Older children can come along to our weekly youth groups Friday@FT, The Core and Youth Café.
Boys from the age of 7 - 12 and girls from 7 - 17 can join our choirs. Boys meet on Tuesdays and Fridays; girls meet on Fridays. This is a wonderful experience including singing at special services, outings and even occasional trips abroad.
Any child with special needs is especially welcome at St Peter's. A few of our children are disabled. Please let us know if your child has special needs and tell us how best we can help them.
For more information on any aspect of the children and youth activities, please contact either our Children's Work Leader Kate Berry firstname.lastname@example.org or our Youth Work Leader Laura Harvey email@example.com.
St Peter’s Church is committed to the safeguarding, care and nurture of everyone within our church community. We are committed to following legislation, guidance and recognised good practice. We believe that safeguarding is the responsibility of everyone in the church community, and this is reflected in all of our activities. Here are our safeguarding policies and procedures.
