At least three months before the date of the wedding:

• Book the date and time - please contact the church office on 01727 855485 or e-mail Mrs Ruth Garman to arrange an appointment to do this and to obtain up to date information concerning fees.
• Return your completed Banns form, a copy of your birth certificates and a non-returnable deposit.
• Join the Electoral Roll of St Peter's if necessary and you qualify as regular attenders.
• Arrange for your banns to be read in the parish where you live (if applicable). Your banns are automatically read at St Peter's, but it is your responsibility to arrange to have them called in the parish(es) where you live, and to supply us with the certificate of calling.
• The priest who is conducting your wedding will contact you and book a visit at home.
• You will also be invited to a marriage preparation evening.

At least one month before:

• Please pay the fees in full (minus the deposit). You can call into the office or send a cheque payable to St Peter's Church St Albans.
• You need to contact the Director of Music, Nick Robinson,on 07817 281370.
• You need to contact Annie Apsey to discuss your requirements for flowers on 01727 835407.
• Check your Order of Service with the priest taking your wedding.

A few days before:

• There will be a rehearsal arranged for you. It will give you the chance to walk through the service, and also we will check that we have all your paperwork correct. It is essential that you both attend. Anyone else - bridesmaids, best man, readers, parents, etc. are most welcome.
