Sunday 29th January - Revised Service Times

Please note that next week there is no separate 9.30 am and 11.15 am service, but a combined service of Holy Communion at 10.30 am, at which we welcome the Bishop of Hertford, the Rt Revd Paul Bayes.

This will be a special service for “The Presentation of Christ in the Temple” (Candlemas) in which we conclude our celebration of Christmas & Epiphany (the incarnation season) and fill the church with the light of candles.

There will be activities for children, and an opportunity to meet the bishop over refreshments after the service. Bishop Paul is still quite new to the diocese – do come and welcome him!

“Towards a Generous Hospitality”

If you haven’t yet picked up your set of information about St Peter’s giving initiative, please visit the special table at the back of church. Forms on which to make your pledges and responses can also be found on this website by clicking here. Please do think these through carefully and prayerfully. Thank you to all who have already responded generously.

Daily Morning Prayer

Morning Prayer – is now led Monday to Friday in the Lady Chapel, 9 am to 9.25 am. This follows the structure from Common Worship Daily Prayer, allowing the reading of scripture, psalms and canticles, to lead into intercessory prayer and space for silent prayer and meditation. You are welcome to join in regularly or occasionally, as part of finding your own rhythm of prayer and of starting the day.

New Youth Group

Our New Youth Group has now launched. Please request more information from Jos, our curate, by e-mail to the Revd. Jos Perris.
