Highly-talented soprano Melissa O'Donnell will be accompanied by pianist Cynthia O'Donnell in this lunch-time concert. They are two well-known local musicians whose classical cabaret is very popular, and whose variety of repertoire will please all listeners. The concert is at at 1pm with a retiring collection in aid of Grove House.

This Wednesday concert sees the Piatti Quartet return. The players include Charlotte Scott and Michael Trainor (violins), with David Wigram (viola) and Jessie Ann Richardson ('cello). The concert is at 1pm with a retiring collection in aid of Grove House.

St Peter’s will be opening its doors again to visitors for this on 10th and 11th September. There will be displays and information on the church and its history, and refreshments served. If you haven’t been along yourself before – do think of coming and / or encourage a friend. We also need volunteers to sign up for slots to welcome visitors. Please see information at the back of church.

Wednesday Lunchtime concerts return with a special tribute to Franz Liszt. On Wednesday, 14 September, international soloist Klaus Sticken comes to play our Bösendorfer piano. The concert begins at 1pm in St Peter's Church with a retiring collection in aid of Grove House.

As part of the St Albans Food and Drinks Festival we are organising an Apple Day Fair for Saturday 8th October 2011, 11.30-15.30 in the churchyard or inside if the weather is really dreadful.

We will celebrate our Harvest Festival Service at 9.30 am. and Immediately following the service we will join the Farmer’s Market at which the vicar will be saying prayers and a blessing.

Morning Prayer – is now led Monday to Friday in the Lady Chapel, 9 am to 9.25 am. This follows the structure from Common Worship Daily Prayer, allowing the reading of scripture, psalms and canticles, to lead into intercessory prayer and space for silent prayer and meditation. You are welcome to join in regularly or occasionally, as part of finding your own rhythm of prayer and of starting the day.>
