Activities for Children

Children playingChildren are full members of the church and are most welcome at our services. They are especially welcome at the 9.30am Holy Communion services where there is a crèche and Junior Church during term time. Boys aged between 7-12 and girls between 7-17 are invited to join the choirs. Boys meet on Tuesdays and Fridays; girls meet on Fridays. We occasionally arrange special services, outings and treats for the children. In 2003 this included a choir trip to the south of France.

A few of our children are disabled. Please let us know if your child has special needs and tell us how best we can help them.

After Eight is the evening meeting for young people between 14-18: snooker, table-tennis, music, discussions, outings, and more. Come along between 7.45-9.15pm in Sunday evenings in the Octagon.

The Tuesday Toddlertime group led by Mandy Carhart (07903090373) meets from 9.30-11am in term time. For pre-school children aged about 18 months and over. Toys for the toddlers and tea and biscuits for their parents/carers. Everyone welcome.  The group has now broken up for the summer, but will be starting back on Tuesday 8th September.

From Wednesday 20 January 2010 a new group starts at St Peter's. 'Mandy's Musical Fun Time' will be in the Octagon from 10.15 - 10.45am and is a musical group for babies and toddlers. There will be a charge of £2.50 per session. For more details contact Mandy on 07903090373.

There is a Thursday Babytime group led by Mandy Carhart: toys for babies under 18 months, and tea and biscuits for their parents/carers from 9.30-11am. Everyone is welcome - small charge for coffee and biscuits.  The group has now broken up for the summer but will be starting back again on Thursday 10th September.
